PSATF delegation meets with South African High Commissioner in Islamabad

The PSATF delegation meeting was conducted with the Honorable Acting high commissioner of South Africa for Pakistan Mr. Philip Riley at the South African High Commission in Islamabad. The PSATF delegation led by Chairman Mr. Muhammad Rafiq Memon had a detailed conversation on the trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Southern Africa.

The High Commissioner of South Africa welcomed the PSATF Delegation. He appreciated the role of the Federation in the improvement of the diplomatic relationship between Government of South Africa & Pakistan.

During the meeting the High Commissioner of South Africa emphasized that the Government of Pakistan shall play their active role to negotiate and discuss with the Government of Pakistan for the visa facilitation for the trade development and investment. Furthermore, the mechanism shall be devised that the fraudulent visa application could be reduced.

The High Commissioner also identified that the Joint Commission meeting has not been conducted since last 10 years and the trade agreements are expired but Government of Pakistan has not taken these seriously. The Federation shall also discuss with the Government to proceed for arranging the Joint Commission Meeting and signing the Trade MoU/ agreements through sending the high-level delegations to South Africa.
